How to Build a Corner TV Stand
70Materials needed to build a corner TV stand are the following: 3 pieces of 24x24x¾-inch plywood, sawhorses, circular saw, 2 pieces of 12x24x¾-inch plywood, framing square, countersink bit, wood glue, 1 ¼-inch drywall screws, damp cloth, 2 pieces of 1x4x24-inch lumber, 5/8-inch wood screws, and screw hole buttons.
To start building the corner TV stand, take one of the 24-inch pieces of plywood and mark two opposite sides 12 inches from a corner. Connect both marks by drawing a line and cut it with the circular saw. This will represent the front of the corner TV stand. Do the same to the remaining 24-inch pieces of plywood for the shelves of the corner TV stand.
Get the 2 12x24-inch pieces of plywood and set them on the sawhorse and mark both pieces of wood 10 7/8 and 11 5/8 inches, using the framing square to draw a line. These marks will be used to indicate the placement of the middle shelf for the corner TV stand.
Drill three countersink holes between the marked lines and at the top and bottom of the 12x24-inch pieces. Glue the edges of the shelves to the sides and secure them with the drywall screws. Also glue the 24-inch pieces of lumber to the back corner of the corner TV stand and secure them with drywall screws.
It is recommended to sand the wood materials before applying a coating or a finish. Please also allow the wood glue to dry before using the corner TV stand.

I want to build my own tv stand for a 52 inch set but will also need some shelving for the other componenets such as VCR, DVD and Direct TV box. What do I need to do to get started besides choosing the wood and taking the measurements? Thanx for any help
